I know it’s not “officially” white jeans weather yet, but I couldn’t resist. I’m sure this will not be the first time you’ll see them in one of my posts as it gets warmer. I love the distressing and the frayed edges which hit just above my ankles. Perfectly on-trend for Summer. I wanted to keep it casual today so I kept everything neutral and un-printed. A simple scoop neck t-shirt is the perfect basic. I love this long cashmere cardigan. It gives this look just the right amount of “edge” while also keeping me warm! Long cardigans like this drape beautifully and simply feel elegant and stylish.

My twist today is this layered silver necklace. I’ve kinda gotten away from wearing necklaces lately but this one added the right amount of punch to the outfit. It’s one that could go dressy or casual…don’t be afraid to mix it up. The booties are super comfortable and have a neat speckle pattern to them. An alternative would be killer heels. That would take this outfit from day-to-night quickly. I think oversized clutches work perfectly during the day; they are something unexpected and they make an entire outfit stand out. this one is one of my favorites with the combination of black leather and animal print.

Happy Easter! I hope you enjoy your families, fit in some chocolate and get some down time this weekend. Enjoy!

This week has been a rough one starting with me throwing out my back. So, my wardrobe had to be adjusted each day based on whether I was able to stand up straight, walk or sit. And, it had to include flats. That was a bit of a challenge for me…I like flats on other people…I hear they are supposed to be better for you than heels…but not my favorite look for me! However, when your body hurts, you need to listen.

My back is starting to feel better and I can actually walk, sort of. So, I thought this week’s look should incorporate something comfortable but still polished. I started with a new pair of snakeskin slip-on sneakers and boyfriend jeans. Black shirts of any kind elevate an outfit in my opinion so that’s my go-to. I paired the outfit with a long gray sweater instead of a jacket (but a jacket would work just as well); added in a contrasting belt and geometric earrings. The light gray bag is structured and can be a crossbody or carried by the handle as shown here. I love the orange stripe…it’s just the punch of color this outfit needed.

I hope to be back in heels next week!
